'Godfather of Soul' James Brown, 70, was arrested by Aiken County cops in January 2004 and charged with domestic violence after allegedly pushing his wife to the floor during an argument at the couple's South Carolina home. Tommie Rea Brown, 33, suffered 'scratches and bruises to her right arm and hip' during the bedroom dispute, according to investigators.

 


 


Actor Nick Nolte was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on September 11, 2002 and charged with driving under the influence.

 


 

George Clinton, the colorful singer known as Dr. Funkenstein, was busted in December 2003 by Florida cops and charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. The 62-year-old Parliament-Funkadelic founder, who owns a home in Tallahassee, spent less than an hour in the Leon County Jail before coming up with the $2650 he needed to bond out.

 


 

Robert Downey Jr. was photographed by the California Department of Corrections in August 1999 while serving time on a drug conviction. The second mug shot was taken in November 2000 after his arrest at the Merv Griffin Resort in Palm Springs for drug possession. The third photo was taken in April 2001 after the actor was busted in a Culver City alley for investigation of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

 


 

Michael Jackson was photographed by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's office following his November 2003 arrest for child molestation. The 45-year-old "King of Pop" was released after posting $3 million bail.

 


 

Lindsay Lohan posed for the above Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department mug shot in July 2010 after being booked into the Lynwood Correctional Facility. The actress, 24, was ordered to serve three months in jail after a judge determined that she violated the terms of the probation she was put on following two 2007 DUI arrests.

 


 


Actor Charlie Sheen was arrested by Aspen, Colorado cops in December 2009 on a domestic violence charge that includes felony assault, felony menacing, and misdemeanor criminal mischief counts. The 44-year-old star of the hit TV show 'Two and A-Half Men,' who was in the ski resort town with his wife, was booked into the Pitkin County Jail where he posed for the above photo before appearing before a district court judge and posting $8500 bond.


Macaulay Culkin was nabbed in Oklahoma for possession of marijuana and two controlled dangerous substances (Xanax and sleeping pills) for which he did not have a prescription. The bleary-eyed actor, 24, posed for the above Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office mug shot following a traffic stop of his buddy's car in September 2004. Culkin, best known for starring in the 'Home Alone' movies, was arrested and briefly jailed before being released on $4,000 bond.

 


 

Country singer Glen Campbell was arrested in November 2003 on drunk driving and hit and run charges. According to Arizona cops, the 67-year-old performer was nabbed shortly after plowing his BMW into another auto at a Phoenix intersection. He left the accident scene, but was arrested at his nearby home, where cops smelled booze on his breath and noted that Campbell looked smashed. After he was booked into a Maricopa County lockup, Campbell kneed a sergeant in the thigh--for which the country star was hit with an aggravated assault on a police officer charge.

 


 

Mel Gibson posed for the above El Segundo Police Department mug shot in March 2011 following a misdemeanor battery conviction. The Hollywood star pleaded no contest to the charge that resulted from a fight with his former girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva. Gibson, 55, was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to complete a one-year domestic-violence counseling program as well as undergo mental health counseling.


 

Country singer Wynonna Judd was arrested in November 2003 for drunk driving. Following a traffic stop, Nashville cops detected the smell of booze on the 39-year-old performer, whose eyes were watery and dilated. After consenting to a Breathalyzer, Judd blew a .175--more than twice the Tennessee limit.


Russell Brand was arrested in March 2012 by the New Orleans Police Department and charged with criminal damage after a paparazzi alleged that the British comedian tossed his iPhone through a window. Brand, 36, was booked into the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s jail where he posed for the above mug shot before being released on $5000 bond.
